Australian bowling Adam Zampa and Kane Richardson have decided to withdraw from the rest of the current IPL citing personal reasons, their franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore said on Monday.

Hours earlier, another Australian, Rajasthan Royals player Andrew Ty, had left the league midfield for fear of being “locked up” by his own country following the wave of COVID-19 in India.

“Adam Zampa and Kane Richardson are returning to Australia for personal reasons and will not be available for the rest of the IPL season. Royal Challengers Bangalore is offering full support to them in all possible ways we can,” the franchise said in a statement.

While the Zampa leg pump was purchased for 1.5 kroner, RCB spent 4 kroner to buy Richardson’s rhythm at the players’ auction.
