Yuzvendra Chahal explains why he and Kuldiip Yadav no longer participate in the same XI for India

The duet of Yuzvendra sighed and Kuldeep yadav, affectionately called “Kul-Cha” by fans, was a regular player in the Indian over-the-top, playing XI after the 2017 Champions Trophy. Both spinnings were very successful when they were part of the same XI.

In 34 ODI, the duo have played together for India so far, Kuldeep and Chahal have combined together to take 118 wickets, with India winning 24 of them. After the 2019 World Cup, however, both players hardly participated in the same limited form.

Yuzvendra Chahal has made significantly more appearances than Kuldiip Yadav in both limited-form formats, with Culdip’s form falling significantly in recent months.

Chahal has now revealed the duo’s lack of performances in the same XI, explaining the reason for the decision.

“When we played with Kuldeep Yadav, Hardik Pandya it was also there and it would be bought. In 2018, Hardick Pandya was injured and Ravindra Jadeja made a comeback (in cricket with a white ball) as universal, the one who could also fight at number 7. Unfortunately he is spinning, we could play together if it was a medium pace. That was the search for the team, “Chahal told Sports Tak.

“With Culdip we played 50-50 games in each series. Sometimes he played 3 games in a series of five games, sometimes I got the chance. It takes a combination of teams, 11 players make a team and Kul-cha we failed. We were there until It wasn’t Hardick, we were also given chances. The team needed to have a wagon in position number 7. I’m happy, even if I don’t play, but the team wins, “said the foot spinner.

Earlier, Kuldeep also acknowledged the problem.

“When Mahi bhai (MS Dhoni) was there, Chahal and I were playing. We haven’t played with Chahal since Mahi bhai left. I only played a few games after Mahihai left. I must have played ten strange games. I even took a hat trick. If you look at the performance as a whole, it will look pretty decent, but if one breaks it, sometimes my performance may seem out of place. We also have to look at the opposition we are playing against, “Culdip told Indian Express.
