Indian captain Virat Kohli there was a heartfelt gesture for New Zealand goalkeeper JJ Watling as the latter came on the field for the last day of his testing career.
Collie shook hands with Watling and talked to him as the two sides went out to play on the final day of the World Cup’s inaugural final.
Watling represented New Zealand in 75 tests, 28 ODIs and five T20Is.
The wicketkeeper-batsman had a quiet exit in the first passes of the WTC final, as he was fired on 1 of Mohamed Shami. He still has the opportunity to go out to fight on his last day of international cricket.
