The World Test Championship (WTC) is less than a week away and cricket fans have already started buzzing about the long-awaited race between India and New Zealand.
Two world-class countries led by Virat Kohli and Kane Williamson, will fight for glory in the Ageas Bowl from June 18. On Friday, the BCCI shared a video in which Collie’s men trained to “get into the furrow” for the clash at the top against the kiwi.
BCCI posted a video of the players’ training and wrote: “#TeamIndia enters the lock for the # WTC21 final.”
In addition to skipper Koli, Cheteshwar Pujara,, Adjinkya Rahane,, Rohit Sharma, R Ashwin and Rishabh Pant were spotted hitting the nets in the video. Earlier in the day, the Indian board had asked fans to “lag” behind India before their high-octane clash against the Kiwis.
BCCI on Thursday shared the first video with players training in the nets after coming out of isolation. The players had a full session with all the main names present in the networks.
“We had our first group workout and the intensity was high. Fire # The preparation of #TeamIndia is in full swing for the # WTC21 Final,” BCCI wrote in a Twitter post along with a short video of the workout.
New Zealand, on the other hand, is currently taking part in the second and final test against hosts England at Edgbaston. While regular skipper Kane Williamson is resting due to injury, Tom Latham leads the Kiwis to Birmingham.
