After a massive victory against England in the second test, which tied the series 1-1, there is a sense of confidence and calm that can be felt in the camp of India with the conviction that the series should take if they give their best in home condition.
With the carnival between India and England, which reached Ahmedabad for the first pink ball test between the two countries, players dragged it into the nets to get used to the secret ball of Test Cricket.
However, Indian players just know how to enjoy the time together to find light moments during training and on Tuesday BCCI shared a video that reflects just that.
In a rare video from India’s training session at the newly renovated Mottera Stadium, Rishab Pant was spotted having fun with a drone camera along with Ashwin and other players.
The video certainly goes with the witty character that the young cricketer has had in the last few months, especially after his series exploits Down Under, which has established itself as a replacement for the Indian great MS Dhoni.
The pants are also known for tweeting behind the stumps. During the opening day of the first test match between India and Australia, Rishabh Pant continued to tweet behind the wicket to motivate his bowler.
Pant’s “comment” behind the stumps started early on Day 1. During the 12th, Ravichandran Ashwin came from the door to the opening Rory Burns, and Pant brazenly said, “Idhar se phasega toh maza aayega!” (It would be fun if he was trapped from that angle!)
