Vivo Y19 receives Android 11-based update Funtouch OS 11, user report

Vivo Y19 is reported to be receiving the Android 11-based Funtouch OS 11 update in India. Some users have announced on Twitter that their Vivo Y19 phones have started receiving the update in India. Surprisingly, the smartphone was not included by Vivo in the release schedule for Android 11, which they released in January. There is no additional official information about the update. Vivo Y19 launched in 2019 and came with Android 9 Pie out of the kit and subsequently received an update to Android 10.

Some users have tweeted about getting the update for their I live Y19 smartphone, but no official confirmation from Vivo myself. Gadgets 360 turned to Vivo to confirm the same. This report will be updated when we hear back.

The update for Vivo Y19 brings Android 11-based Funtouch OS 11, carries the firmware version rev 6.73.6 and is 3.2 GB in size. It is recommended that you update your smartphone while it is connected to Wi-Fi and plugged into a wall charger. There is also no information about the Android security patch associated with this update.

Several users also reported that their Vivo Y19 had some bugs after the update. One user reported that after updating their smartphone, it stopped reading the microSD they used. Another user announced that the Children’s mode of the smartphone has stopped working.
