Realme X2 Pro has started getting a stable update of Android 11 in India. The company began testing Android 11-based Realme UI 2.0 on select smartphones, including Realme X2 Pro, back in January, and now a stable version with version RMX1931_11_F.11 is finally available. It brings many changes and improvements in terms of customization, efficiency, security and privacy, system, camera and more. This is a phased distribution and not all Realme X2 Pro users will receive the update immediately.

Realme announced on June 30 that it has launched a stable Android 11 based Realme UI 2.0 up to Realme X2 Pro consumers in India. The phone was starts back in 2019 with Android 9 Pie, based on ColorOS 6.1 and was updated to the Android 10-based Realme UI in April last year. In terms of personalization, Realme UI 2.0 will allow you to create your own wallpapers by choosing colors from photos. There are now three styles in dark mode – enhanced, medium and gentle. Third-party application icons are now supported on the Home screen. To improve performance, Realme UI 2.0 allows you to drag text, images, or files from one application to another in split-screen mode or outside of floating windows.

Improvements to the system include tone melodies, a feature that forms a single melody for consecutive notification tones. Weather animations have also been added. Vibrating text input and gameplay effects are optimized, as is the auto brightness feature. You can now combine two folders and have a filter that can be used to sort applications by usage frequency, installation time or letters.

Realme UI 2.0 version RMX1931_11_F.11 brings improvements in SOS functions, which allows you to quickly display your personal emergency information to the first responders. The permission manager is optimized, and with the low battery message feature, a message to share your location with selected people can be sent quickly when your phone’s battery is less than 15 percent low. App lock switching is now available in quick settings. Your personal access point can be shared via a QR code.

In terms of camera enhancements, the photos and videos you just made will have a shortcut to instant sharing. An inertial zoom feature has been added to make zooming smoother during videos. Level and network options are now available in the camera application.

To check if you received the update, go to Settings> Software Update and you should see it here. Realme says make sure you are on RMX1931EX_11.C.37 / RMX1931EX_11.C.38 to get the update. As mentioned earlier, this is a phased launch and Realme says the update has been randomly pushed to a limited number of Realme X2 Pro users to ensure stability. If no critical bugs are found, the update will be available to a wider range of users, after which it will be available to everyone in the coming days.
