UEFA rejects Kudela’s appeal against the 10-match ban

UEFA has confirmed a 10-match ban for Slavia Prague defender Ondrej Kudela for abusing the racial participation of Rangers midfielder Glenn Camara, which means he will miss the European Championship.

The Czech national hoped to play in next month’s tournament, which will feature Jaroslav Silhavi’s side against Scotland in Glasgow in the opening of Group D on 14 June.

But European football’s governing body has rejected Kudela’s appeal after pleading guilty to inciting racial slander in Camara’s ear during a Europa League match in March.

The decision means that Kudela has been suspended for 10 matches in UEFA competitions, including for club and country.
