The Vivo X50 is starting to receive an update for Android 11 in India

Written by admin

The Vivo X50 now gets the latest FuntouchOS 11, based on Android 11. Vivo has announced a list of its smartphones that were to receive the latest version of Android in January. The Vivo X50 was supposed to receive the software update at the end of January, but did not receive it for unknown reasons. It now appears that Vivo is releasing a software update for the X50 based on a tweet from the FuntouchOS team.

The FuntouchOS India team answers of a Vivo X50 user regarding the latest update, mentioning that the update is currently being tested in grayscale. Based on the tweet, it is safe to assume that the software update is currently being released in stages and several I live X50 (Review) users should be able to download it to their devices. This tweet was first noticed by PiunikaWeb. Phased releases limit the number of people who receive the update. This helps manufacturers fix bugs and issues faster before running a stable update for all users.

Vivo has not yet released a change log for the Vivo X50, but we can expect new features on Android 11 to make their way to this device. Some key Android 11 features such as chat balloons, built-in screen recording, an updated power menu, improved privacy and security should pave the way for the Vivo X50. With the update, it will also receive a recent patch to protect Android. We can expect Vivo to release a stable update for the X50 if this gray scale testing is successful.

While Vivo is updating its current range of smartphones to Android 11, the company is also expected to launch the new Vivo X60 series in India soon. Recent reports also suggest that Vivo X50 Pro + can be started together with the Vivo X60 Series in the coming months.
