Olivia Coleman is reportedly in talks to join Marvel’s Secret Invasion series, which will air on Disney + and Disney + Hotstar worldwide. There is no word on who Coleman can play. But if he joins Secret Invasion, Coleman will become part of an already impressive cast that includes Samuel L. Jackson, returning as Nick Fury, Ben Mendelssohn as shape-changing Scroll Talos and Kingsley Ben-Adir as leader of the Scroll faction who penetrates the Earth for years. Coleman herself is an award-winning actress who has won an Oscar, a Golden Globe and a BAFTA.
The Hollywood reporter carries information about Coleman’s potential casting Secret invasion, one of several Marvel Cinematic Universe series that are under development in Disney +. Marvel Studios declined to comment. Coleman won Oscar and Golden Globe for the role of Anne, Queen of Great Britain in The Favorite, won the Golden Globe for playing Queen Elizabeth II in Netflix Her crown won a Golden Globe for The Night Manager. This week, Coleman has a nomination for supporting actress 2021 Oscars for her work at the Father.
For a miracle, Coleman will be another huge experience after – SPOILER SIGNAL for The falcon and the winter soldier episode 5 – Julia Louis-Dreyfus entered the MCU last Friday as Countess Valentina Allegra de Fontaine. According to reports, Marvel has “big ambitions” for the character of Louis-Dreyfus. And with Secret Invasion set up as a crossover event, as it were announced from Marvel Studios boss and Marvel chief creative officer Kevin Fage last December, who knows in what capacity Coleman may appear.
Before the secret invasion, Disney + and Disney + Hotstar, we’ll take Tom Hiddleston Loki (premiere on June 11) and the star of Iman Velani Mrs. Marvel and Hawk’s gaze with Jeremy Renner and Hailey Steinfeld (late 2021). Meanwhile, on the big screen in 2021 we have that of Scarlett Johansson black Widow (July 9), Shang-chi and the legend of the ten rings (September 3), Chloé Zhao’s Eternal (November 5) and Spiderman: There’s no way home (December 17).
Kyle Bradstreet (Mr. Robot) is the showrunner, lead screenwriter and executive producer of Secret Invasion. Filming was originally expected to begin in April in Los Angeles, but THR said it now plans to launch fall production in the UK and Europe.
Secret Invasion is expected to air in 2022 on Disney + and Disney + Hotstar.
