The Realme GT 5G, previously thought to be called the Realme Race, will launch on March 4 in China. Realme (CMO) Chief Marketing Officer Xu Qi Chase shared a Weibo poster with the launch date and confirmed that the name is Realme GT. The phone will be leading and can be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC. In addition, the advisor said that the company may launch variants of Realme GT made of leather and glass. The phone has previously been spotted on an alleged TENAA list showing the design and has also appeared on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website.
Realme GT 5G launch date
Realme CMO Chase shared a poster on the Chinese microblogging website Weibo, which reveals the launch date on March 4 at 14:00 local time (11:30 IST). The poster not only announces the launch date, but also confirms the name to be Realme GT.
The phone used to be called the Realme Race, but it was probably a code name for it. The poster also says that the phone will be available with 5G connectivity.
Realme GT 5G design, specifications (expected)
In the lower left corner of the poster there are three icons showing the CPU, refresh rate and fast loading. Realme GT 5G can be powered from Snapdragon 888 SoC, can support 160Hz refresh rate and come with some form of fast charge. The Realme GT is also expected to feature a 6.8-inch (1,440×3,200 pixels) OLED display with a 20: 9 aspect ratio, up to 12GB of RAM and to offer 128GB, 256GB and 512GB internal storage options. There may also be a Pro version for the Realme GT.
In addition, the famous tipster Digital Chat Station (in translation) has shared of Weibo that the Realme GT can be available in leather-backed and glass-backed versions. The prompter also mentions that the phone will be equipped with a Snapdragon 888 SoC. However, it should be noted that the company has not shared any information about the design or specifications of the Realme GT.
