Following the suspension of the sixth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) due to the outbreak of COVID-19 earlier this year, Pak’s cricket body (PCB) has confirmed that the remaining 20 matches of the competition will be played in Abu Dhabi.
The PCB said it had approval and exceptions from the United Arab Emirates government for hosting the tournament, ANI reported.
PCB CEO Wassim Khan said: “We are pleased with this development, as the remaining obstacles to organizing the remaining PSL 6 matches in Abu Dhabi have been overcome and all systems are ready.
“We are grateful to the UAE Government, the National Crisis and Disaster Management Authority, the Emirates Cricket Board and the Abu Dhabi Sports Council for their support and patronage in ensuring the removal of all final obstacles, which has firmly put us in a position to complete our tents. “
