The main group of women’s hockey in India is returning to the national camp

The 25-member core group of women for hockey for the Tokyo Olympics will return to the Sports Authority of India (SAI) in Bengaluru for the national coaching camp after a 10-day break. The group will report on April 18 and will undergo mandatory quarantine before starting preparations for the matches.

In January, the Indian women’s team toured Argentina, where they played seven games against their juniors “B” and the world’s No. 2 adult team. This was the team’s first tour in 12 months.

In February, the team left for Dusseldorf, Germany, where they played four games against their senior team. “Receiving these matches was absolutely important for us to analyze the level we are at and the work needed to improve in specific areas before the July Olympics. During the upcoming camp, we will also focus on these areas and also we will improve our fitness, “said head coach Siord Marine.
