Shafali Verma upgraded to level B, BCCI reduced contract players to 19 of 22

The teen cotton sensation Shafali Verma was raised in class B on BCCI’s list of annual contracts as the cricket board reduced the number of contracted players from 22 to 19.

Class A, which offers annual fees for fixing Rs 50 nail polish, again consists of three players of all formats – Twenty20 skipper Harmanpreet Kaur, her deputy Smrati mandhana and a foot rest bowler Poonam Yadav.

Grade B has an annual detention fee of 30 Rh and veterans like Jhulan Goswami, Mitali Raj and Deepti Sharma are among 10 players in this category.
