The Samsung Smart Monitor range has been expanded with two new size options. The 43-inch 4K Smart Monitor M7 and the 24-inch 1080p Smart Monitor M5. Samsung announced the Smart Monitor series in November and brought the Smart Monitor M5 with a 27-inch display and the Smart Monitor M7 with a 32-inch display to India last month. The smart monitors are powered by Tizen and come with a new energy-saving remote control powered by solar cells.
The South Korean technology giant announced that the 43-inch 4K Smart Monitor M7 and the 24-inch 1080p Smart Monitor M5 will be priced at $ 199 (approximately Rs. 14,400) in the US. The exact prices and availability of the monitors have not yet been revealed. It is unclear from Samsung whether these new monitors will be available in other international markets in the future.
On Samsung The 24-inch smart monitor M5 has an IPS display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) with a ratio of 16: 9, a brightness of 250 nits, a viewing angle of 178 degrees, a response time of 14 ms and support for HDR10. It is powered by the Tizen processor and has a screen refresh rate of 60Hz. The 43-inch 4K Samsung Smart Monitor M7 has an Ultra-HD display with HDR10 support, built-in streaming applications and seamless switching functions.
Both monitors feature a TV Plus feature that provides a variety of free live and on-demand content without the need to download or register. The Universal Guide option offers content recommendations based on an analysis of user preferences and viewing patterns, providing fully customized suggestions for popular applications such as Netflix and Prime Video. This eliminates the need for a smart TV, and smart monitors even come with a remote control. The 43-inch M7 includes a solar power supply, all in one energy-saving remote made of recycled plastic. It can be charged via sunlight, light bulbs or even a USB Type-C port.
The 43-inch 4K Smart Monitor M7 and 24-inch 1080p Smart Monitor M5 support Google Assistant and Alexa voice assistants along with Bixby. There is a remote access feature that will be updated to “PC on Screen” in June, allowing a simple and secure connection between Smart Monitor and external computers for improved usability. The monitors support Samsung DeX, Microsoft 365 applications, built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth v4.2 connectivity.
