Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 4G Option with Snapdragon 865 Tip to launch soon

Written by admin

The version of Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 4G with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC has been announced for launch soon. Samsung introduced the Galaxy S20 FE in September last year in both 4G and 5G models. The 4G variant is powered by the Exynos 990 SoC, while the 5G variant is powered by the Snapdragon 865 SoC. Now, according to the new report, it looks like there will be a 4G variant of the Galaxy S20 FE with a Snapdragon 865 SoC, which effectively replaces the Exynos 990 variant.

After startup from 4G and 5G variants of the Galaxy S20 FE in the US last September, only the 4G variant made his way on the Indian market a month later. Then last month, Samsung starts 5G version on the phone and here. Now, according to a report from WinFuture, the South Korean technology giant plans to completely replace the 4G version of the Galaxy S20 FE with the Exynos 990 SoC with a 4G version that will be powered by the Snapdragon 865 SoC.

The report states that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 4G has the model number SM-G780G and will carry the same specifications as the 5G variant, but in the absence of the Snapdragon X55 5G modem. Interestingly, this version of the phone is already listed on the company’s Scandinavian website with four color options – Cloud Lavender, Cloud Mint, Cloud Navy and Cloud Red, with a 128GB storage model. However, there are no details on prices or availability for this Galaxy S20 FE.

The Galaxy S20 FE range has become a bit confusing with many options that are already on the market and many others. However, it seems that Samsung plans to withdraw its Exynos 990 SoC, which makes sense given the striking performance of this option, especially compared to its analogue Snapdragon. In fact, this is not the first time we have heard of such a plan, as earlier this month, another report stated the same. But at the time, it was announced that there would be a new version with the Snapdragon 865+ SoC, which would replace the model powered by Exynos 990.

It should be noted that at the moment Samsung has not shared any information about the new Samsung Galaxy S20 FE, but presumably mini road map for this year’s Samsung events expired with the FE Unpacked event scheduled for August 19. This can happen when the new version of the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE is launched.
