Redmi Note 8 (2021) has been confirmed by Xiaomi. Earlier, the phone was spotted on certification sites such as Bluetooth SIG and the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC), which revealed important details. The 2021 model is expected to bring slight improvements to the 2019 model. But the Redmi Note 8 (2021) will be released only on global, European Economic Area (EEA) and Russian markets and will miss the Indian market. Expired specifications of the upcoming Redmi phone include MediaTek Helio G85 SoC, 4000 mAh battery and support for fast charging of 22.5 W.

Xiaomi, through its global Twitter account, irritates the arrival of Redmi Note 8 (2021). In a tweet, the company said it had sold 25 million copies of the original Redmi Note 8 launched in 2019, while confirming that the Redmi Note 8 (2021) will be released soon. The official details of the launch event or the specific markets in which it will debut have not been disclosed.

As for leaks, the Redmi Note 8 (2021) was spotted at the US FCC and Bluetooth SIG certification sites. Some leaks suggest that the phone is codenamed “Biloba” and will likely have a Full-HD + display with a 60Hz display refresh rate. There are also suggestions for a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The phone is reported to be powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM. Internal storage options can include 64GB and 128GB. It is unclear whether the device will have an option for expandable storage.

It is expected to have a quad camera setup on the back of the Redmi Note 8 (2021), which will likely include a 48-megapixel main sensor, an ultra-wide sensor, a depth sensor and a tele-macro lens. In addition, the phone is equipped with a 4000 mAh battery with 22.5 W support for fast charging. Whether a charger that supports fast charging technology will be included remains to be seen. Connection options are recommended to include Wi-Fi 802.11 ac and Bluetooth v5.2. Redmi Note 8 (2021) can run on MIUI 12+ software.
