The 2021 model is expected to bring slight improvements to the 2019 model. But the Redmi Note 8 (2021) will be released only on global, European Economic Area (EEA) and Russian markets and will miss the Indian market. Xiaomi, through its global Twitter account, irritates the arrival of Redmi Note 8 (2021). In a tweet, the company said it had sold 25 million copies of the original Redmi Note 8 launched in 2019, while confirming that the Redmi Note 8 (2021) will be released soon. The official details of the launch event or the specific markets in which it will debut have not been disclosed.

As for leaks, the Redmi Note 8 (2021) was spotted at the US FCC and Bluetooth SIG certification sites. Some leaks suggest that the phone is codenamed “Biloba” and will likely have a Full-HD + display with a 60Hz display refresh rate. There are also suggestions for a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The phone is reported to be powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM. Internal storage options can include 64GB and 128GB. It is unclear whether the device will have an option for expandable storage.
It is expected to have a quad camera setup on the back of the Redmi Note 8 (2021), which will likely include a 48-megapixel main sensor, an ultra-wide sensor, a depth sensor and a tele-macro lens.
