The first sale of Realme 8 Pro and Realme 8 starts today, March 25 at 12:00 (noon). The Realme 8 phones were announced on March 24 along with Smart Scale and Realme Smart Bulb. The smartphones are the successors to the Realme 7 series, which launched last September and come with some impressive improvements. Realme 8 Pro is available in two RAM and storage configurations, while Realme 8 is available in three configurations.

The Realme 8 Pro is priced at Rs. 17,999 for 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage option and Rs. 19,999 for 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage option. Available in Illuminating Yellow, Infinite Black and Infinite Blue. Vanilla Realme 8 is available on Rs. 14,999 for 4 GB RAM + 128 GB storage option, Rs. 15,999 for 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage option and Rs. 16,999 for 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage model. Available in Cyber Black and Cyber Silver.
Realme The India website offers flat Rs. 1500 instant discounts for credit card transactions and credit card EMI, 10% refund up to Rs. 200 with MobiKwik payments and fixed Rs. 75 cashback with free payments. On the other hand, Flipkart offers a 5 percent unlimited cashback on Flipkart Axis Bank credit card transactions and a 10 percent discount on the first Bank of Baroda Mastercard debit card transaction. There are no plans for EMI to purchase Realme 8 Pro and Realme 8 smartphones, starting with Rs. 2500 per month too.

Realme 8 Pro with dual SIM (Nano) works with Realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11. The phone has a 6.4-inch Full-HD + (1,080×2,400 pixels) Super AMOLED display with 90.8% screen to body ratio, 180Hz sampling rate and 1000 nits of peak brightness Realme 8 Pro is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G SoC with Adreno 618 GPU. It comes with up to 8 GB LPDDR4x RAM and up to 128 GB UFS 2.1 storage space, which can be expanded via a special miroSD card slot.
In terms of optics, the Realme 8 Pro comes with a quadruple rear camera setting that includes a 108-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL HM2 primary sensor with f / 1.88 lens, an 8-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle f / 2.25 lens and 119-degree field of view (FoV), 2-megapixel macro shooting with aperture f / 2.4 and 2-megapixel black and white sensor with aperture f / 2.4. At the front you get a 16-megapixel Sony IMX471 sensor with an f / 2.45 lens located in a slot with a hole located in the upper left corner of the screen.
For connectivity, the Realme 8 Pro comes with dual-band Wi-Fi, 4G, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB Type-C port. On-board sensors include ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, magnetic induction sensor, accelerometer and gyrometer sensor. There is also a fingerprint scanner on display. Realme 8 Pro is supported by a battery with a capacity of 4500 mAh, which supports 50W technology for fast charging SuperDart Charge. The phone measures 160.6×73.9×8.1 mm and weighs 176 grams.
Realme 8 specifications
Realme 8 has some differences in specifications compared to the Pro variant. It features the same display with a hole cutout. Under the hood, the Realme 8 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G95 SoC processor and Mali-G76 MC4 GPU. It comes with up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage, expandable via a special microSD card slot.
For photos and videos, the Realme 8 features a quad-rear camera with a 64-megapixel primary sensor with an f / 1.79 lens. The other three sensors are the same as the Realme 8 Pro. The phone also has the same selfie camera as the Pro version.
The Realme 8 has a larger 5000 mAh battery with support for a slower 30W fast Dart Charge. A supported charger is included in the box. Realme 8 measures 160.6×73.9×7.99 mm and weighs 177 grams.
