Oscar winners 2021 – the full list

Written by admin

Nomadland was the big Oscar winner in 2021, winning the most awards (three), including Best Picture, Best Director (for Chloé Zhao) and Best Actress (Frances McDormand). The Oscars in 2021 were pretty much distributed to be fair, with six films winning two awards each: The Father (for Best Actor for Anthony Hopkins and Best Adapted Screenplay), Judas and The Black Messiah (including for Best Actor). best supporting actor for Daniel Kaluuya), The Black Bottom of Ma Rainey, the old Hollywood drama by David Fincher Mank (including Best Cinematography), Pixar’s Soul (including Best Animated Feature Film) and Amazon’s Metal Sound (including Best Movie Editing and Best Sound).

Among the studios, Netflix was the leading Oscar winner in 2021 with seven awards, but none of these victories came in any of the traditionally large categories. In fact, the old Disney Guard (five) ran this department, thanks to Nomadland, which chose three of the big four (Picture, Director, Actor and Actress). Warner Bros. (three for Tenet, and Judas and the Black Messiah) was next, with Sony Pictures (The Father) and Amazon Studios (Sound of Metal) putting two together. Manf on Netflix had the most nominations (10), but eventually disappeared.
