Oppo extends warranty in India until June 30 amid blockades of COVID-19

Oppo is the latest manufacturer to extend the warranty for its devices in India thanks to the imposed COVID-19 locks. In a press release, the company said that the warranty for the repair of all its products has been extended until June 30 for devices that will reach the end of the warranty during the lock. Oppo joins the likes of Vivo, Poco and Xiaomi to expand the warranties for its devices in India. He also presented a WhatsApp number where customers can check the status of operations in real time, as service centers remain closed.

Thanks to blockades in several states in India, to prevent the further spread of the coronavirus, manufacturers are helping people stay at home by extending the warranties for their devices. Oppo has joined the list of such manufacturers and announced that it will extend the warranties for all Oppo products until June 30. This applies to devices that void their warranty during locking. Includes smartphones, chargers, data cables and headphones.

As Oppo service centers remain closed during a blockade, the company has set up a special WhatsApp helpline number – 9871502777 – which will provide customers with real-time transaction status. In addition, to provide better customer support, Oppo implements a special chatbot with AI Ollie calledwhich will be available 24×7. Oppo says Ollie can handle 94.5% of customer inquiries. In the event that additional troubleshooting is required, customers will have the option to contact Oppo’s online teams.

Both Xiaomi and its Poco sub-brand will be extension of guarantees for their devices with two months for warranties expiring in May or June. Vivo has extend your warranty up to 30 days for all devices of customers living in areas imposed by a lock. He also announced a handset pick-up and drop-off service for his customers, which is offered free of charge – depending on the current situation in the country.
