Oppo can work on a still unannounced smartphone with Qualcomm Snapdragon 768G SoC, said an adviser to the Chinese microblogging website Weibo. The company launched the Oppo K9 5G last month, which is the only Oppo phone to offer the Snapdragon 768G SoC. The mobile processor is relatively new, as it was not announced last month, and only a few phones powered by it are currently available on the market. But with the latest leak, it looks like Oppo will add another phone to the list, and the tipster has also shared key specifications for it.
The alleged Опо phone, according to Weibo post from the famous tipster Arsenal (in translation), will have a 6.43-inch Samsung E1 Pro AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. It can be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 768G SoC and comes with 12GB LPDDR4x RAM with 256GB UFS 2.2 storage space. The phone is expected to have a triple rear camera setting, which includes a 64-megapixel primary sensor Samsung GW3, 8-megapixel sensor Hynix Hi846 with ultra-wide angle lens and 2-megapixel macro shooting. On the front, the unnamed Oppo phone can carry a 32-megapixel Sony IMX615 sensor for selfies and video calls.
The tipster also shared that the phone can be supported by a 4500 mAh battery that supports 50W fast charging. It can be supplied with a speaker that supports Dolby Panoramic sound. It can be 7.9 mm thick and weigh 174 grams.
This mysterious Oppo phone can cost 2499 CNY (approximately Rs 28,700) for the 12 GB + 256 GB storage model. It is not clear if there will be other configurations for the phone.
While some of the specifications of this Oppo phone are quite similar to recently launched Oppo K9 5G, it comes with a few improvements. The new phone has the same camera setup as the Oppo K9 5G, but is expected to come with more RAM, a faster refresh rate of 120 Hz compared to 90 Hz and a larger battery of 4500 mAh compared to 4300 mAh. Oppo K9 5G. However, the leak shows slower 50W charging support, as opposed to the 65W fast charging of the Oppo K9 5G. This unnamed phone has the same thickness and weighs a little more than the Oppo K9 5G. This may just be another phone in the Oppo K9 series. The company has not yet announced.
