OnePlus Nord receives oxygenOS in India

OnePlus Nord receives an update for OxygenOS in India. The May 2021 security patch for Android also comes bundled with the update. In parallel, it offers some improvements to the system, network, camera and file manager of the OnePlus smartphone. As usual, the update will be done in stages and all devices are expected to receive it in the next few days. OnePlus Nord launched in July 2020 with the Snapdragon 765G SoC, paired with up to 12 GB of RAM.

OnePlus forum post details the change log that comes with the update for OnePlus North. The update is also expected to reach European and global markets soon. The 2020 smartphone receives system fixes for problems such as missed calls marked as answers to calls on another device, the card coupon is not available as a gadget, along with other known issues and improved system stability. OnePlus also improve the speed of the Wi-Fi connection.

The OnePlus Nord camera has also received a number of enhancements, which include fixes for an abnormal display problem in Nightscape Tripod mode, with the camera not responding while setting a profile picture in a Contact, a camcorder drop issue, a failed Flash effect in some situations, and the delay that occurred when switching to the front camera in delay mode. Finally, the File Manager receives a correction for the abnormal display problem while transferring files to the OTG storage.

OnePlus combines the security patch for Android from May 2021 and OxygenOS update is 420MB in size. It is recommended that the smartphone be updated via a strong Wi-Fi connection while the headset is charging. OnePlus mentioned in the forum that the smartphone must have more than 30 percent battery and at least 3 GB of storage before updating OnePlus Nord. To manually check for your phone update, go to Settings> System> System update.

OnePlus Nord has a battery with a capacity of 4,115 mAh, which supports fast charging Warp Charge 30T.
