OnePlus 9 Pro, OnePlus 9 Get camera enhancements with a new update

OnePlus 9 Pro, OnePlus 9 receive a new OxygenOS update with some improvements to the camera, network and system. The OxygenOS update is currently available in India and will soon reach Europe and North America. As usual, OnePlus will release the update in stages. OnePlus 9 Pro and OnePlus 9 launched in March this year with Android 11, which came out of the box. Both smartphones feature almost identical specifications and are powered by a Snapdragon 888 SoC combined with up to 12 GB of RAM.

Through a post at its community forum, OnePlus announced that OnePlus 9 Pro and OnePlus 9 will receive OxygenOS update. The update brings an improved charging experience, optimized power consumption, fixes for known issues, and improved stability, as well as network performance.

Camera enhancements include optimized noise reduction and rear camera sharpening effect, an improved focusing experience along with brightness consistency in indoor scenes, and improved accuracy of the automatic white balance of the rear camera.

The OnePlus 9 Pro and OnePlus 9 updates have firmware versions and in India, respectively. There is no information about the size of the update or the built-in security package for Android.

It is still recommended that smartphones be updated while charging and connected to strong Wi-Fi. Users of acceptable phones can manually check for updates by targeting Settings> System> System Updates> Download and install.

Earlier this month, OnePlus updated both smartphones with OxygenOS, which also brought improvements to the camera, network and system. The update is included in the security package from May 2021 for Android.
