OnePlus 8 Series, OnePlus 8T Receive OxygenOS updates with many fixes

OnePlus 8 Series – including OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro – and OnePlus 8T began receiving updates to OxygenOS 11.0.7.7 and OxygenOS 11.0.8.14 in India, respectively. While the OnePlus 8 Series will receive the update first in India, followed by Europe and North America, the OnePlus 8T will receive the first update to OxygenOS 11.0.8.13 in North America, followed by India and Europe with the aforementioned update. Updates are expected to be distributed in stages.

Through several publications at the Community Forum on 9 June, OnePlus describes in detail the update update log for OnePlus 8,, OnePlus 8 Pro, and OnePlus 8T. All three smartphones receive similar improvements with their respective updates.

The OxygenOS Update 11.0.7.7 for the OnePlus 8 series brings optimized smartphone performance. In addition, the update also solves the problem where the shutter button fails while taking images in 48-megapixel format. The firmware version for OnePlus 8 is 11.0.7.7.IN21DA and for OnePlus 8 Pro is 11.0.7.7.IN11DA.

OnePlus 8T receives OxygenOS Update 11.0.8.14 which also brings optimized performance to the flagship smartphone from 2020. In addition, there is a fix for the shutter button problem found in the OnePlus 8 series. The firmware version for the OnePlus 8T is 11.0.8.14.KB05DA.

All three smartphones are updated to the Android security patch in June 2021. The size of these updates is not mentioned. It is recommended that smartphones be updated while connected to a strong Wi-Fi connection and while charging. Users can target Settings> System> System Updates to manually check if the update has arrived on their respective OnePlus smartphones.

OnePlus also mentioned that the update will be released in stages, with a small percentage of users receiving the initial version. A wider distribution of the update will be held soon.
