Narinder Batra was re-elected FIH President for a second term

The current Narinder Batra from India was re-elected on Saturday as president of the International Ice Hockey Federation (FIH) for a second term during the virtual 47th Congress of the global governing body of sport.

Batra, who is also chairman of the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) and a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), defeated his rival, Mark Kudron, head of the Belgian Hockey Federation, by just two votes.

Batra secured 63 votes against 61 of his rival to emerge victorious in an online voting process involving 124 member associations. Batra will take office until 2024.
