The batsman goalkeeper of Bangladesh Mushfikyur Rahim has suffered a fracture of the hair on his left index finger, which could affect his prospects of touring Zimbabwe in July.
Bangladesh is scheduled to conduct a one-time test, three ODIs and three T20Is in Zimbabwe, but there is some uncertainty during the tour as the country has stopped all sporting activities due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Rahim, who plays for Abahani Limited in the Dhaka T20 Premier League, suffered a fracture during his team’s match against Gazi Group Cricketers on Monday.
“We did a CT scan of Mushfiq’s arm, which had a fracture of the hair on his left index finger,” Bangladesh Cricket Chief (BCB) Chief Debashish Chowdhury told ESPNcricinfo.
“We asked him to take a break for a week, but we hope that the recovery will not take too long, as it is a hair fracture. We will examine the injury in a week and then we can determine what to do next.” he added.
