Moto G8, Moto G8 Power Get a stable update of Android 11: Reports

Motorola Moto G8 and Moto G8 Power get their stable update for Android 11. The firmware is said and is currently being released in Colombia. With previously reported soaking tests and now announcements of the launch of the update, we can expect it to reach its Moto G8 and Moto G8 Power mobile phones in other parts of the world soon enough. Both smartphones are powered by the Snapdragon 665 SoC, and as a reminder, neither of the two phones has been released in India.

According to reports from users from Moto G8 and Moto G8 Power, first noticed from PiunikaWeb, both Motorola the phones receive their stable updates for Android 11, complete with the security fix for Android in February 2021 in Colombia. The update is said to come with compilation number RPE31.Q4U-47-35, according to user reports. So far, Motorola has not officially confirmed the distribution of the stable update, but as we mentioned, we can expect it to be available in other regions soon. We contacted the company for clarity.

The publication notes back in November that soaking testing, the process of running a stable update for a limited number of users part of Motorola Feedback Network before a general distribution began for both phones. To recall, the Moto G8 was launched in March running Android 10, while the Moto G8 Power launches in February, also running Android 10.
