Microsoft Outlook gets a new feature that allows users to automate breaks between meetings. Users can now change settings in Outlook, which will allow individuals or organizations to set default settings that shave five, 10, or 15 minutes from Microsoft Teams meetings to take breaks between calls. This new feature for scheduling vacation meetings seems to reduce the digital congestion of users who have worked remotely in the last year due to the ongoing pandemic and subsequent blockades.
The company he says that the new settings in Microsoft Outlook have begun to spread. It gives customers the ability to set default schedules for the default organization, which shorten meetings and create a vacation spot for all participants. The settings are highly customized and allow you to choose whether to take a break at the beginning or end of meetings. You can also choose the duration of the holiday. It can be found in Outlook settings in the Windows desktop application or in a web browser. You can click Calendar> Events and Invitations, select the “Reduce the duration of all events” checkbox, and select the duration of the breaks from the drop-down menu that appears to activate the new feature.
“For example, this could be a five-minute break before all 30-minute meetings or a 15-minute break after all one-hour meetings. Once the setting is activated when employees schedule meetings, the start or end time of the meeting will be automatically adjusted based on the individual setting or the company-wide setting, ” Microsoft explains in his blog.
When this new feature is enabled in Outlook by the company, employees will see a notification when they schedule appointments, notifying them of changes across the organization. Employees can also change or customize this new setting as they see fit once the feature is enabled. This will allow you to end your events a few minutes earlier or start them a few minutes later. After changing these settings, they will be implemented in Outlook for Windows, Outlook for Mac, Outlook on the network, Outlook for iOS and Outlook for Android.
