The Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11 Pro and Mi 11 Lite 5G from the Mi 11 series were released by Xiaomi in China on Monday, March 29, along with the Mi Smart Band 6. The three new Mi 11 series phones add to the Mi 11, which debuts in China last December and was launched globally last month. Xiaomi has yet to introduce the Mi 11 series in India, but said the flagship series will “come soon” in the country.
Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11 Pro, Mi 11 Lite 5G: Price, availability
The Mi 11 Ultra from Xiaomi is priced at 5,999 CNY (approximately Rs. 66,400) for 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage model, 6,499 CNY (approximately Rs. 72,000) for 12 GB + 256 GB storage option and 6,999 CNY (approximately Rs 77,500) for the beginning of the -line 12GB RAM + 512GB storage option. The phone is available in black and white color options, along with a special ceramic white edition with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, also priced at 6,999 CNY (approximately Rs. 77,500).
The We 11 dec launches at a starting price of 4,999 CNY (approximately Rs 55,400) for 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage model. This costs 5299 CNY (approximately Rs. 58 700) for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage option and CNY 5699 (approximately Rs. 63,100) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model. The phone is available in black, green and white options.
The Mi 11 Lite 5G has a starting price of 2299 CNY (approximately Rs. 25 500) for 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage option and 2,599 CNY (approximately R 800, 28 800) for 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage. The phone is available in color options Citrus Yellow, Mint Green and Truffle Black.
Pre-sales of the Mi 11 Ultra and Mi 11 Pro opened at 22:00 CST on Monday, March 29 (19:30 IST). Both phones will be available for purchase from April 2. The Mi 11 Lite 5G will go on sale later this month.
Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra specifications
The dual SIM 5G Mi 11 Ultra runs on Android 11 with MIUI 12 on top. It features a square curved 6.81-inch 2K WQHD + (3200 × 1440 pixels) E4 AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz, a sampling rate of 240Hz, a pixel density of 551ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. It supports HDR 10+ and Dolby Vision and has an A + rating from DisplayMate. DisplayMate tests and evaluates all types of displays to analyze various aspects of what makes a display good or bad.
The phone also has a 1.1-inch (126×294 pixels) AMOLED secondary touchscreen display on the back. It always maintains on mode and has a maximum brightness of 450 nits.
The Mi 11 Ultra is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC, paired with an Adreno 660 graphics processor, up to 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The Mi 11 Ultra has a 5000 mAh battery with 67W cable as well as wireless support for fast charging, along with 10W reverse wireless charging. The best phone in the Mi 11 series comes with an IP68 dust and water resistant construction.
The Mi 11 Ultra has a triple rear camera setup housed in a rectangular module that also includes a small, multifunctional secondary display. The secondary display is included mainly to encourage users to take selfies with the back camera of the phone. But the display, which can transmit notifications, battery level and weather alerts, among other things, can also be used as the only display in Ultra-Low Power mode, which can give the phone up to 55 hours of extra time in readiness.
The rear camera setup of the Mi 11 Ultra includes a 50-megapixel primary wide-angle sensor Samsung GN2 with f / 1.95 lens and optical image stabilization (OIS). It is accompanied by two 48-megapixel sensors on the Sony IMX586 with an ultra-wide angle and a tele-macro camera. The ultra-wide-angle camera comes with an f / 2.2 lens and a 128-degree field of view (FoV). And the telemacro lens supports 5x optical and 120x digital zoom. Mi 11 Ultra supports 8K video recording with all three sensors.
The phone has a built-in 20-megapixel front camera with a 4-in-1 pixel and an f / 2.2 lens.
The phone’s connectivity options include 5G, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, NFC and a USB Type-C charging port. The phone also comes with Harman Kardon stereo speakers and a fingerprint sensor on the display. It measures 164.3×74.6X8.8 mm and weighs 225 grams.
Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro specifications
The dual SIM 5G Mi 11 Pro takes many of its specifications from the Mi 11 Ultra, the main difference being the lack of a secondary display and a more advanced camera of the Mi 11 Ultra. The Mi 11 Pro has exactly the same display as the Mi 11 Ultra with HDR 10+ and Dolby Vision support, and is also powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC. The Mi 11 Pro also comes with an IP68 dust and water resistant construction and a 5000 mAh battery that supports 67W wired as well as wireless fast charging.
The triple setup of the rear camera of the Mi 11 Pro includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor Samsung GN2 with f / 1.95 lens and OIS. The phone features a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle secondary camera with 123-degree FoV and an 8-megapixel tele-macro tertiary camera with OIS, 50x digital zoom and 5x optical zoom. The Mi 11 Pro comes with a 20-megapixel front camera.
The connectivity options of the Mi 11 Pro are also identical to those of the Mi 11 Ultra. The phone also comes with a fingerprint sensor on the display and Harmon Kardon stereo speakers.
Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G specifications
Mi 11 Lite 5G runs on Android 10 with MIUI 12 on top. It features a 6.55-inch full-HD + AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 90Hz and Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection. The display supports HDR 10+ and Dolby Vision. The 5G phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 780G SoC, paired with an Adreno 642 GPU, 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage space, expandable (up to 512GB) via a microSD card.
The Mi 11 Lite 5G has a triple rear camera setup with a 64-megapixel primary sensor, 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle and 5-megapixel macro sensor. It has a 20-megapixel front camera
The most affordable phone in the Mi 11 series comes with a 4250mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging. Mi 11 Lite is also the thinnest and lightest smartphone in the range, measuring 160.53×75.72×6.81 mm and weighing 159 grams.
Mi Smart Band 6 price, availability and specifications
The Mi Band 6 has a larger 1.56-inch (152 x 486 pixels) AMOLED touchscreen display than the Mi Band 5, which comes with a 1.1-inch AMOLED touchscreen display. Mi Band 6 has 326ppi pixel density, 450 nits peak brightness and is waterproof up to 50 meters. It has a 125mAh battery that is said to provide a standby time of up to 14 days. The group takes about two hours to charge and supports Bluetooth 5.0.
The fitness payload supports 30 sports models and can automatically detect six activities, including walking, running, indoor treadmill and cycling. Mi Band 6 has round-the-clock blood pressure, blood oxygen (SPO2) and heart rate monitoring, and also supports sleep monitoring.
Mi Band 6 has two variants. The vanilla version is priced at 229 CNY (approximately Rs 2,500). Its special edition with NFC is priced at 279 CNY (approximately Rs 3,000). The new wearable media will be available in black, blue, brown, green, orange, silver, white and yellow color options and will go on sale on April 2.
