LinkedIn says a technical problem with the platform has been resolved

LinkedIn, Microsoft’s professional networking site, said Tuesday that it had resolved a technical issue on its platform after thousands of users reported difficulties accessing the website.

Downdetector, an interruption tracking website, shown there were nearly 26,000 incidents of people reporting problems with LinkedIn.

Earlier in the day, LinkedIn said a problem with its platform had caused certain functional requests to take longer or fail unexpectedly, and that it was working on a fix.

California-based LinkedIn helps employers assess a candidate’s suitability for a role, and employees use the platform to find a new job.

Downdetector only tracks outages by comparing status reports from a range of sources, including user-sent bugs on its platform. The outage may have affected more users.
