Former England captain Nasser Hussein has said that Joffra Archer’s constant bowling fight with an injury is worrying for the team. Hussein said England would want a suitable Sagittarius for the T20 World Cup and the ashes to be released later in the year.
“It’s extremely worrying for any cricketer. You don’t want a repetitive nature of injury, especially bowling and especially this guy. He’s such a rare talent, an absolute gem. Even in the cricket we saw in Sussex last week, the ball, “With which he made (Zack) Crowley, it was phenomenal,” Hussein told Sky Sports.
“England will desperately take care of him and make him for this T20 World Cup and then, obviously, The Ashes. He can do things that other bowling can’t – as long as he can. He has to be in shape, “Add Hussein.
England head coach Chris Silwood said Archer would meet with a consultant this week to find out the severity of the right elbow injury. Last week, he competed in the County County Championship and failed to play in the last two days of the match.
“We need to solve it once and for all to give it the best chance to be in full form as we prepare for an intense winter that will include the T20 World Cup and Ash. We need shooting in all game formats,” he said. Silverwood.
