Jaden Sancho will join Manchester United from Borussia Dortmund for 85 million euros (100 million dollars), the clubs confirmed on Thursday.
The winger has yet to complete his contract and undergo medical tests with United after finishing with England in the European Championship.
The 21-year-old Sancho is yet to start for England in the tournament, which is heading for the quarterfinals, despite his growing stature.
Sancho began his career at the Manchester City Academy, but rejected the agreement to stay and joined Dortmund in 2017. He has scored 50 times in 137 appearances since moving to Germany.
He is now set to be a fierce local rival to City to help United bring down his neighbor as a Premier League champion. The new season starts for United on August 14 against Leeds.
Sancho became the second most expensive English player after Harry Maguire, who United signed with Leicester two years ago for 80 million pounds (97 million dollars).
