Punjab Kings’ Ravi Bishnoi screamed to fire Kolkata universal player Knight Riders Sunil Narine at Narendra Modi Stadium on Monday.
With exceptional field effort, Bishnoy ran to the right of the deep middle goal and dived perfectly to tear the ball away, sending Narine back for a duck.
Earlier, the KKR bowling unit presented a clinical bowling presentation to limit Punjab Kings to 123/9. Pat Cummins and Narine took two leashes each, while Prashid Krishna registered 3/30 numbers to inspire PBKS inning. Shivam Mavi and Varun Chakravarti are also cut with one door each.
On the wadding in front, Mayank Agarwal scored 31 of 34 balls, while Chris Jordan contributed 30 of 18 deliveries towards the end of the inning.
When Nicholas Puran, 19, was sacked, PBKS was in danger of being taken out for less than 100. However, Jordan’s late heyday helped Punjab put together a racing scoreboard.
“We had a full throw catch, a tournament catch, a run, at which the batsman starts walking, only to find that he was ….. all for 4 overs!” commentator Harsha Bogle commented on the drama on the ground between the two countries.
