Glenn Maxwellsuccess in the Indian Premier League this season (IPL) is surprising given that he is not the main man in the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) who likes to be on every team he plays with, said former England batsman Kevin Petersen.
“I was skeptical of Glenn Maxwell’s purchase of RCB at the start of the tournament, in part because he’s the ‘Big Show’ – he likes to be the main character on the teams he plays for. Certainly not here, s They grow kohli and AB de Villiers at the top of the tree, so I’m surprised he did so well, “he wrote on his blog at betway.com.
Petersen, 40, who works as a commentator, has now written that Maxwell should feel very comfortable at RCB.
“He should feel very comfortable in the restaurants there. I know that if you make Maxwell feel comfortable and inflate his tires a little, you will see huge benefits,” Petersen wrote.
“He’s a great player. He may be inconsistent, but we haven’t seen that inconsistency this season.”
The former midfielder believes that Maxwell can turn the corner this season. Maxwell has scored 176 runs in four games at an average of 58.66 this season.
“Players can turn the corner as they become more experienced and I hope Maxwell now takes the corner because he can be a world winner if he stays at his highest level.”
