A key support element for testing in India Cheteshwar Pujara has started training with him IPL Chennai Super Kings franchise for servicing the mandatory quarantine period. In a video shared by Chennai’s crew, Pujara was spotted wearing a yellow T-shirt for the first time.
After the end of international engagements, many star players began preparations for the upcoming edition of the IPL, which should begin on April 9. Earlier in the day, Rohit Sharma,, Hardik Pandya, his brother Krunal and Suryakumar Yadav also joined the Indian detachment in Mumbai. The four players were on national commitment for the ODI series against England, which India won 2-1 after defeating the guests in the third match on Sunday.
“Really happy, it’s nice to be on the field,” Pujara said in a video shared by CSK. “It’s nice to wear yellow, I’m really looking forward to my stay with CSK.” Along with Pujara, CSK rookies – Robin Utapa and K Gotham – also spent time online to prepare for the new season.
During a recent mini-auction earlier this year, CSK took England Wagon Mouen Ali for INR 7 crores, except for the universal K Gowtham in Karnataka (9.25 INR INR) and Pujara (50 GEL INR). The Yellow Army also got batsman Tamil Nadu C Hari Nishaanth, Harishankar Reddy and Bhagath Varma (all for INR 20 nail polish).
While IPL 2021 should start on April 9 in Chennai, MS DhoniCSK at the helm of the start will start their campaign the evening later, when they occupy the runner-up from the previous season, Delhi Capitals, at Wanhead Stadium in Mumbai.
CSK, scheduled to play five of its matches in Mumbai in IPL 2021, has moved its training camp from Chennai to Mumbai before the start of the new season.
