Sunrisers Hyderabad pacer T Natarajan is ready to miss the rest of IPL Season 2021 after a worsening of his knee injury, Cricbuzz reported. In addition, the report states that the 30-year-old left-footed man was advised not to play in the tournament after playing only two matches.
Now Natarajan may be asked to report again to the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore, BCCI sources revealed. It is not yet clear at what stage the pacer, who spent two months at the NCA after a successful tour in Australia, aggravated his injury.
His last game was against Kolkata Knight Riders in Chennai on April 11.
“We have not received the full report, but we have been told that he has developed knee tension. He will have to undergo rehabilitation at the NCA,” the source was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz.
Earlier during the Punjab Kings vs Sunrisers match on Wednesday, SRH captain David Warner said Tamil Nadu’s stride would sit for 7-10 days as his injury was still under scan.
“Obviously his knee hurt. Given the circumstances in these blisters, if he goes and takes a scan, he obviously has to sit for seven days. He has to go back to quarantine. Right now we’re just watching him. but he obviously has to go out and do a scan at some point, “Warner said Wednesday.
