After I was disconnected from IPL Season 2021 due to a repeated knee injury, Sunrisers Hyderabad player T Natarajan came under the knife on Tuesday.
After the operation, he wrote on Instagram: “Today I underwent knee surgery and I am grateful for the expertise, attention and kindness of the medical team, surgeons, doctors, nurses and staff. I am grateful to #bcci and everyone who wished me well.”
He also said that his return to cricket will take some time to thank the fans for their support.
“The road to 22 yards is a long one. But today I took the most important step. I look forward to coming back – stronger and healthier than ever. Thank you all for your support, blessings and good wishes,” he said. Natarajan.
BCCI and its IPL franchise also appeared on social media to wish it a speedy recovery.
“I wish you a speedy recovery @ natarajan_91. We want to see you on the field again soon,” tweeted bcci.
“Wishing you a speedy recovery, @ Natarajan_91,” tweeted SRH.
The 30-year-old left-handed gun did not play in SRH’s third and fourth games and simply played the first two games of the season, taking two goals; after which he was expelled with injury.
SRH experienced hot weather during the season with just two points in five games; exhausted at the bottom of the table.
They will then take part in the Chennai Super Kings on Wednesday at Aaron Jaitley Stadium.
