Bangladesh is adamant Shakib Al Hasan he was allowed to miss the upcoming test series against Sri Lanka to be available throughout the Indian Premier League season 2021. Shakib was bought back by his former Kolkata Knight Riders franchise for INR 3.2 kroner in IPL Auction 2021
Bangladesh Cricket Board Chairman Akram Khan confirmed that the BCB had given Shakib permission to skip the test series. However, he will be able to play in the ODI series of three games before the two tests.
Shakib was part of KKR’s title-winning campaigns in 2012 and 2014. He missed last season due to his annual ban on not reporting corrupt bookmakers’ approaches.
“He (Shakib) had recently given us a letter [asking] to miss the test series against Sri Lanka because he wanted to participate in the IPL, “Akram told Cricbuzz.” We gave him permission because there is no point in pressuring someone who is not interested in a game (National Team Test), “he said.
Kagiso Rabada, on the other hand, has chosen to play for his country and miss a week of this year’s IPL, as reported by iol.co.za. South Africa is scheduled to play four T20Is and three ODIs against Pakistan from April 2nd to 16th, and this year’s IPL edition is set to begin on April 11th.
“The country comes first and could miss a week of the IPL if the Pakistan series is planned at the same time as the IPL starts. Delhi was my home in India, but national obligations are a priority, “said Rabada, who is part of the Delhi Capitals camp.
