After many participants in the ongoing IPL 2021 had a positive result, including two players of the Kolkata Knights, the further participation of foreign players in the competition became more grim. The English Cricket Board (ECB) has left the decision to its players whether they want to continue playing or return home.

Currently 11 England players, including a captain with a limited limit Eoin Morgan (KKR), participate in the money-rich league. The other players are Mouen Ali (CSK), Johnny Beirstov (SRH), Sam Billings (DC), Chris Wakes (DC), Joss Butler (RR), David Malan (RR), Sam Curran (CSK), Tom Curran (DC), Chris Jordan (PBKS), Jason Roy (SRH).

An ECB spokesman told the ANI news agency that they were in constant contact with its players and left the decision to return home.

“We continue to monitor and communicate with our players and employees who are currently in India. With regard to continued participation, a decision will be made by each individual. We recognize that these are challenging times and our thoughts are with the people. in India, “the spokesman said.

Earlier, Kolkata Knight Riders’ match against Royal Challengers Bangalore in Delhi was rescheduled after two of KKR’s players, Varun Chakravarthy and Sandeep Warrier, were positive on Monday. On April 29, the Eoin Morgan-led country also faced the capitals of Delhi; forcing the whole team to go into self-isolation.

“As of this afternoon, we are isolating ourselves in our rooms,” sources from the DC camp at ANI said Monday night.
