Devdutt Padikkal needs to “smooth out” a few technical things, but legendary Brian Lara is confident that Royal Challengers Bangalore’s left hand will improve his performance during this IPL with several Man of the Match awards.
The 20-year-old Padical was one of the findings of the last IPL, marking 474 runs in five and a half centuries and contributing greatly to the RCB campaign.
This year, he missed the RCB opener while recovering from a COVID-19 virus attack and scored 11 in his first appearance against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
“He (Padical) is such a great talent. Last year he got a few (5) fifty years, hit well, supported They grow kohli very good, “Lara told Star Sports’ Select Dugout Live Feed.
Lara hopes that Padical has been working on his game for the last five months and that improvements will be available to everyone. For the record, he scored more than 700 tracks in the Vijay Hazare trophy for Karnataka.
“A few small things to iron out. I hope he did that on vacation and will come back really rough for this IPL,” Lara said.
“What I want to see in the 2021 IPL is for him to go ahead and take a few people out of the games and put a few triple pieces under his belt. Such a great little player,” added Lara.
