Pacer of the Rajasthan Royals Jade’s uncut said the clarity of his mind had helped him get off to a good start IPL season and he wants to build momentum forward. The 29-year-old from Gujarat has so far caught four wickets in his three games this season.
“I feel like I started well. I had clarity of mind and clarity of plans this season, something that has worked for me so far,” Unadcat said in a statement issued by his franchise on Wednesday.
“These are just a few games for me and they’re still early days, something I’m looking to upgrade as we move forward.”
The Rajasthan Royals will fight the Mumbai Indians on the field of Feroz Shah Kotla here on Thursday afternoon, and Unadkat said the defending champions have always been a “difficult” opponent.
“I think it will be a good match. In the recent past we did well against them and I think both teams are equal and have a lot of quality,” said the leader.
RR has won two and lost three games so far in the tournament and Unadkat believes a few more wins will give them momentum.
“For us it was a decent start to the tournament. The first match was a close defeat, the second match was a good display of the team and a wonderful victory for us,” said Unadkat. “Somehow we lost our way for a few games between them, but now that we are back to winning ways, we would like to continue this and upgrade it.
“I personally feel that there are a few more trot victories and we can get the right momentum for us. We haven’t had such a run yet, but I feel it’s the right time to get that momentum back.”
Unadkat expects the Kotla track to be “flatter” and expressed confidence that Rajasthan has a balanced squad that can do well in a variety of conditions.
“It will be good ground. I guess the pitches will probably be flatter, especially in the first few games here,” he said. “We have a balanced lineup in general and I don’t think adapting to new surfaces will be a problem. We have a team that does well in a variety of conditions and surfaces.” PTI NRB ATK
