IND v. ENG BCCI asks white ball specialists to report in Ahmedabad on March 1

Indian specialists in white balls as a opener Shikhar davan, competing in the ongoing Vijay Hazare trophy, were asked to report in Ahmedabad on March 1 before the five T20 series matches against England.

In addition to Dhawan, young Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav and Rahul Tewatia also compete in an indoor tournament with more than 50 and are in their respective organic bubbles in five cities.

BCCI has selected a 19-man team for the T20 series, starting in Ahmedabad on March 12th.

“Shikhar is due to report to Ahmedabad along with others on March 1. As far as we know, all white ball specialists have been asked to play 2 to 3 matches to keep in touch as they will re-enter a new bubble with everyone.

There are protocols for COVID-19, “a senior DDCA official told PTI on condition of anonymity.

The T20 series will be played in Ahmedabad between March 12 and 20 and will be followed by three ODI series matches, which will be played in Pune between March 23 and 28.

The test series is locked at 1-1, with the third test starting on Wednesday at the newly built Sardar Patel Stadium in Mottera.
