India climbed to seventh in the International Cricket Council (ICC) Men’s Cricket World Cup rankings after the Men’s Super League ranking of seven wins over England in the third ODI. The victory helped India seal a 2-1 victory over England in the series.

Despite the loss, England remains the highest ranked team in the standings with 40 points. England played nine league games, winning four and losing five. On the other hand, India has played six games, won three and lost as many. While England has 40 points, India has 29 points.

The Super League started on July 30, 2020 with three matches of England against Ireland. It includes the 12 full members of the ICC, along with the Netherlands, who won the 2015-17 ICC World Cricket Championship to qualify for the competition.

The teams that finished in the top 8 will receive an automatic qualification for the 2023 World Cup, which is scheduled to be held in India. As India is the host, they have already won an automatic qualifier, but are part of the league anyway
