While most of his Indian teammates spent most of the international cricket holiday spending time with his family, Rishab Pant had other plans he revealed to his fans on Wednesday morning, sharing photos of the England-Germany draw of the last 16 of Euro 2020.
Pant, who was at Wembley Stadium for the high-octane collision, shared the photos with the caption “Good experience to watch”, while England beat Germany for the first time in a knockout in the tournament since 1966.
Riding goals from Rahim Sterling and Harry Kane, England beat Germany 2-0 in a match of the round of 16 of the European Football Championship – Euro 2020 – to qualify for the quarterfinals on Tuesday.
Sterling scored in the 75th minute, scoring a low cross from Luke Shaw. Kane and Jack Grillish played the ball wide to Shaw, whose low cross went straight to Sterling, who scored.
England were still not so eleven minutes later – in the 86th – Kane turned a cross from Grealish.
Shaw climbed out of the middle and lunged forward. He played the ball wide to Realish, whose low cross was aimed at Kane’s home from the six-yard line.
