England died on Tuesday IPL stars inclusive Joss Butler and Johnny Beirstov for the upcoming series of two tests against New Zealand, while Joffra Archer and Ben Stokes were not considered for selection due to injuries.

England has selected a team of 15 people for the series, starting on June 2.

“Multi – format players Mouen Ali, Jonathan Beirstow, Joss Butler, Sam Quran and Chris Wax have rested after completing a quarantine period following the cancellation of the Indian Premier League earlier this month.

“They will spend some time on holiday before joining their respective districts at the appointed time,” the ECB said in a statement, referring to the four players who had to undergo a 10-day quarantine after returning from India.

Gloucestershire wrestler James Bracey and Sussex sailor Olli Robinson have been called up for the first time on the test team.

Both were in impressive form during the early stages of the district championship. Brace has so far scored 478 runs in the championship in this campaign at an average of 53, while Robinson has taken 29 wickets an average of 14.

Both are familiar with the organization in England, touring their reserves during winter test programs in Sri Lanka and India. They were part of the expanded squads during the closed-door test series last summer against the West Indies and Pakistan, respectively.

There has been a draw for Somerset all-rounder Craig Overton, who last played in England in a test match in September 2019 against Australia at Emirates Old Trafford, and he will want to add to his four champions.

Stokes (fractured finger) and Archer (right elbow) were not considered for selection as they were recovering from injuries.

England head coach Chris Silwood said: “The summer of Test Cricket will be fascinating. The game of the first two teams in the world, in New Zealand and India, is a perfect preparation for us, as we continue to improve and progress to the Ashes series in Australia. in the end of the year.

“As several players are not available due to injury or rest for the New Zealand series, this is an opportunity for us to reward those who have been on the border of England’s teams in the last 12 months.”

After New Zealand, England hosts India for five tests starting on 4 August.

England team: Joe Koren (Captain) James Anderson, James Bracey, Stuart Broad, Rory Burns, Zack Crowley, Ben Fawkes, Dan Lawrence, Jack Leach, Craig Overton, Ollie Pope, Ollie Robinson, Dom Sibley, Ollie Stone, Mark.
