Indian bowler from the capital Delhi Amit Mishra, on Tuesday, wrote two elusive feats in the history of the Indian Premier League after firing the Indians from Mumbai Rohit Sharma in the 13th game of the ongoing IPL 2021 at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
Dismissing Rohit in the 9th during a well-to-do delivery game, Mishra became the bowler who fired the MI captain the most times in IPL history – seven times – one more than Sunil Narine and Vinay Kumar. No other bowling has eliminated a batsman more often in an IPL than Mishra’s number against Rohit, equaling Sandeep Sharma’s seven dismissals. They grow kohli and Zaheer Khan from MS Dhoni.
Speaking of the game, the Mumbai Indians won the throw and chose to fight first in Chennai.
Rohit and Suryakumar Yadav recovered strongly from the early dismissal of Quinton de Cock, with a 58-series stand before Avesh Khan broke the podium.
Mishra then revolted, freeing Kieran Pollard and Hardik Pandya, after the dismissal of Rohit to limit Mumbai’s results in the middle.
