Asus ZenFone 8 Pro Predicted BIS Lists Tips for Upcoming Launches in India

The launch of the Asus ZenFone 8 Pro India may take place soon after the phone was spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) platform. The smartphone is expected to be part of the Asus ZenFone 8 series, which may include the ZenFone 8 Mini and the vanilla ZenFone 8. The ZenFone 8 series is set to launch globally on May 12. Previous reports indicate that all smartphones in the series will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC.

According to a tweeting from an advisor (@the_tech_guy), a smartphone with model number ASUS_I007D, which is considered to be ZenFone 8 Pro, made its way to the BIS certification site. This is a hint that the smartphone will debut in India. The global launch of the ZenFone 8 series is scheduled for May 12, but Asus did not specifically mention whether the new smartphones will launch in India on the same day. The series will be starts of a virtual event scheduled for May 12 at 7:00 PM CEST (10:30 PM IST).

Asus ZenFone 8 Pro is said to have the code name VODKA, which is one of the references to the code names noticed in the source code of the kernel and firmware of Asus ROG 5 phone. Other references to code names “SAKE” and “PICASSO” were found. It’s called SAKE Asus ZenFone 8 Mini, which is he claimed to be the smallest smartphone with Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC.

Asus ZenFone 8 Mini emerges the most among the expected smartphones in the series and is one inclined to have a 5.9-inch display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. It is assumed that the smartphone was spotted on a Geekbench with model number ASUS_I006D, which is similar to the model number of Asus ZenFone 8 Pro mentioned above. The ZenFone 8 Mini can pack a 4000 mAh battery and 30W support for fast charging, according to the supposed TUV SUD certification.
