Arjun Tendulkar was bought by the Mumbai Indians for Rs 20 Lakh at the IPL 2021 auction.

Arjun Tendulkar, son of the legendary former Indian cricket Sachin Tendulkar, followed in his father’s footsteps in his IPL career as it was sold to the Mumbai Indians at the IPL 2021 auction.

MI were the only franchise to bid for it, as it was purchased at its base price of Rh 20.

The youngster, who made his debut for Mumbai in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) last month, will make his first IPL appearance this season.

Earlier this month, Tendulkar joined his side cricket club MIG during an invited police shield tournament that marked the return of men’s cricket in Mumbai.

He turned down 77 of just 31 deliveries, as well as three crates, to make a brilliant all-round show.

Tendulkar played two matches for Mumbai in SMAT 2020-21.
