A range of HP Victus gaming laptops is introduced, competing with Dell’s G-Series

The HP Omen 16 and HP Omen 17 gaming laptops have been updated with 11th generation Intel Core processors and the latest Nvidia GeForce graphics processors. In addition, HP is introducing a new Victus range for computer gamers, which allows them to get good hardware at a slightly lower price than the Pavilion and Omen range. This new range looks set to compete with Lenovo’s IdeaPad and Dell’s G-Series. The first laptop to be introduced in the Victus range is the HP Victus 16, which includes a choice of 11th generation Intel Core i7 or AMD Ryzen 7 5800H processors.

HP losing 16 is valued aggressively, starting at $ 799 (approximately Rs 58,200). It is said to be available sometime next month through HP.com and other retailers. The price tag is achieved by using recycled plastic bound to the ocean in the construction of the speaker housings and the lower base of the chassis. External fiber boxes and cushions are also 100 percent durable and recyclable.

The HP Victus 16 gaming laptop has a 16-inch QHD display with a refresh rate of 165Hz and Eyesafe technology for low blue light. The display is built into a 15-inch fingerprint for extra portability. Processor options include Intel Core i7-11800H or AMD Ryzen 7 5800H. Powered by Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 GPU with up to 32GB RM.

The HP Victus 16 offers a 1TB SSD or dual SSD that supports RAID options. There is also an option for Intel Optane memory. The laptop has wide rear vents, five-way airflow and a design of four heat pipes for heat dissipation. It comes with a pre-installed Omen Gaming Hub and has other features such as low voltage, performance mode, network amplifier and vital systems.

HP Omen 16 and HP Omen 17 the laptops have been updated and will be available sometime in June via the official HP and Best Buy website. The Omen 16 is priced at $ 1,049.99 (approximately Rs 76,500), while the Omen 17 is priced at $ 1,369.99 (approximately Rs. 99,800). HP Omen 16 is limited to Intel Core i7-11800H or AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX and Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070, while Omen 17 can be configured with Intel Core i9-11900H and Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 processor.

Both laptops offer a QHD IPS display with a refresh rate of 165Hz, a response time of 3 milliseconds and 100% sRGB coverage. HP Omen 16 and Omen 17 are certified by TUV Rheinlad for eye protection. The keyboards come with RGB flash and Omen Gaming Hub Light Studio integration. Both laptops offer up to 32GB of RAM, up to two 1TB PCIe Gen 4 NVMe SSDs in RAID 0. Intel Optane is available as an optional extra, and connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6E and Thunderbolt 4 port with Intel models only. The HP Omen 16 has an 83Whr battery capacity, offering up to 9 hours of battery life.

HP Omen 25i gaming monitor price, specifications

HP also announced the HP Eye Ease and EyeSafe-certified Omen 25i gaming monitor. It has an IPS display with Full HD (1,920 x 1,080) with a refresh rate of 165Hz, response time 1ms, VESA DisplayHDR 400, DCI-P3 100 percent, brightness 400 nits and 8-bit color. It comes with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro technology and Nvidia G-Sync compatibility. The Omen 25i Gaming Monitor is expected to be available in July through the online website of HP and other retailers for a starting price of $ 349.99 (approximately Rs 25,500).
