Sixteen singles matches at Wimbledon were postponed to Tuesday due to rain, which delayed the start of the game on the outside courts.

Six matches for men and 10 for women have been suspended. They included five-time champion Venus Williams against Michaela Buzarnescu and No. 10 Denis Shapovalov against Philipp Kohlschreiber.

The game is in progress at Center Court and Court 1, each of which has a retractable roof.

Wimbledon was canceled last year for the first time since World War II due to the coronavirus pandemic.

This will continue this year, but with reduced capacity at the beginning.

Organizers plan to have crowds of 15,000 people at the Court Center for the women’s and men’s singles finals on July 10 and 11.
